What Pilates is Not?

Pilates is not just a series of exercises. Pilates is not just special breathing.

Pilates is not just core connection. Pilates is not just mind body connection.

Pilates is not just sitting up straight. Pilates is not just doing the ”Hundred.”

Pilates is not just learning the exercises. You could learn all the exercises on all of the equipment and not know and understand Pilates.

Even if you took a year of classes with a bunch of exercises that you now ‘know how to do,’ did you do pilates? Probably not. Why?

Because pilates is a philosophy of how to ‘control’ your body. For life. It is a viewpoint.  A way of operating your body.

And it, done properly, with proper instruction, consistently, you will create for yourself, a long, lean, flexible and very strong, balanced body with proper posture. For life.

It is not a quick fix and off to the gym again.  It is a complete change of operating basis which nets you fabulous results, if you actually do it and do it consistently.
