Spotlight on our Private Pilates Client Nicole
Nicole began her journey with Pilates two years ago.
“I started Pilates because, as a professional musician, I spend a lot of time sitting.”
Nicole Garcia is a Los Angeles based professional studio, concert and worldwide touring violinist for over 30 years. Her most recent musical performances include Smokey Robinson at The Hollywood Bowl, Yoshiki LIVE at The Walt Disney Concert Hall and Jennifer Hudson for FIFA World Cup 2026.
Nicole has also been an accomplished hula dancer for 15 years. She has been invited to compete solo at next year’s renowned “E Hula Mau” Labor Day weekend 2027 at Irvine Valley College’s Theater of Performing Arts.
“I have noticed massive changes in my mobility and strength since beginning Pilates. I'm able to sit for longer periods of time without losing my posture. My muscles feel more elongated and I am breathing way more than before.
My favorite part of training is gaining mobility and lengthening my muscles. But I really enjoy the whole process. Being able to achieve the amazing Pilates poses and flows so much better is a massive win. I am feeling so much stronger with so much more flexibility. It definitely took less time than I expected to reach my goals with private Pilates.
Doing Pilates combats the effects of sitting by helping me develop a stronger core and improving flexibility so I can maintain proper posture with better endurance through those long recording sessions, performances and heavy travel schedules.”
